Title: Historic recordings of British string concertos
Post by: eschiss1 on Saturday 07 March 2015, 03:31
Violin concertos of Benjamin, Bax and Moeran (and Walton's rather more obviously (not "neo-classical" (stupid, stupid phrase! esp. in music) but not neo-Romantic- well- ... whatever) 20th-century cello concerto) in  historic BBC recordings (possibly previously unreleased, some of them? - see

http://www.mdt.co.uk/benjamin-moeran-bax-walton-violin-concertos-lyrita-2cds.html (http://www.mdt.co.uk/benjamin-moeran-bax-walton-violin-concertos-lyrita-2cds.html)

(the Moeran performance is Campoli/Schwarz, not Campoli/Boult which -has- been issued on CD a decade-and&c back. Still...)

Interesting, but mostly beyond our remit. Sorry.
