At least it's reasonably priced - unlike the recent Thomas Arne book by Todd Gilman...

Oh, fantastic! I've ordered that! Be wonderful to have something more than the usual stuff to read on him. Of course it'll leave me wanting to hear stacks of works I'm unlikely ever to, but never mind.

My copy has just arrived. At first sight it looks to be everything promised in John France's enthusiastic review. It's difficult to imagine a more thorough introduction to an unsung composer, the editors have really done Holbrooke proud.
