Interesting! Have heard of him primarily as an editor though I was aware that he composed...

This CD features some terrific music, in particular the (very Lisztian) and, I'd say, inspired Organ Sonata No.2 in C minor, which dates from 1886. I'm not, in general, a particular fan of solo organ music, but this is uncommonly interesting and compelling stuff: very different from - and more advanced than - what I was expecting. If you enjoy Liszt and, say, Reubke, this is definitely one for you...
