Not an unsung but the works are (we assume as the title is "new discoveries volume 4")

Looks like it!  Excellent news.

There is a tiny bit more information on the same link which was provided on the thread about Bronsart & Urspruch piano concertos - here it is again:

I can feel the rage from people who bought the box set and won't have it 'complete' now....

But for me, this is great. The Hyperion link includes a sound sample but no album page yet...

I recall the pianist noting in an interview in Fanfare that even as "complete" a recording as he'd made involved searching for many works that were almost not found at all, and that he expected (iirc) that more works, maybe small, maybe larger, might turn up over the years, in private collections, hidden in libraries, etc. I expect he - with help from many other people, having put out a general call for Liszt manuscripts people might have in their attics (literally and figuratively) - made it as complete as _possible_ as they could...

Sure, and would Howard's dedication toward finding and recording everything (not to mention his work in making an updated catalog) be the norm instead of the exception. Soooooo many "complete" series out there which are so far from it one wonders what drugs they are on.

Now available pre-order from MDT!

A few weeks ago, I also ordered this: https://www.mdt.co.uk/liszt-twelve-symphonic-poems-howard-ometto-brilliant-classics-3cds.html

and this:

https://www.mdt.co.uk/liszt-complete-piano-music-vol51-goran-filipec-naxos.html - which has the excellent Goran Filipec as the pianist.  I was much impressed with his earlier CD in the Naxos series when I reviewed it for MusicWeb.

Hi All,
My Liszt New Discoveries 4 disc arrived this morning - I've not had a chance to spin it yet but I am looking forward to doing so!
