Title: Eller Symphony No.2 (1947)
Post by: Alan Howe on Friday 07 December 2018, 22:34
...is featured on a very fine new Ondine CD:

Only one movement of this piece remains, so it a 13:44 minute torso, but it's an absolutely gripping listen nevertheless. Do give it a go!

Hhmmm I must give him another go.  I've got a lot of his works and I have found them all most snoozeworthy in a Banks of Green Willow kind of way which does nothing for me.

You won't snooze through this Symphony.

I find that in a hectic world, Banks of Green Willow's snoozeworthiness is a welcome relief! It might also prove a welcome calming influence after an Eller symphony!  :)
