A very welcome release!
An ex-radio version of the splendid op.3 quintet, featuring the same pianist, can be heard at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyFRS2mEg_w  (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyFRS2mEg_w)

This is a wonderful CD of absolutely stunningly beautiful music - quite Brahmsian, but well able to stand on its own. Full of melody, with some surprising harmonic turns, and beautifully played and recorded.

These are great works. We have published and played the Piano Quintet and the Op.11 Quintet for Clarinet, Piano and Strings recorded by the Orion Ensemble on a Cedille CD.

Very much looking forward to the Piano Quartet. And to think that Labor was virtually blind thanks to a childhood case of Smallpox...

These works deserve to be heard in concert and can stand on their own. He is a first rate composer.
