Greetings everyone. This must be the premiere of the complete rendition of this infrequently heard composition by Dohnanyi on Capriccio label, due out in early February. It was previously performed and recorded in its abridged version on Chandos in the late '90s by Matthias Bamert while a lengthier half-hour version was commercially released on Hungaroton.

Belated 2020 NY wishes to one and all and have a great year ahead, JP ;D
This deserves an "oooooo"
"oooooo" indeed! I know nothing about this music, but the excerpts are full of promise, and it goes straight to my wants list. Thanks for the notice, JP.
Very welcome! I should maybe add that many years ago, britishcomposer uploaded a broadcast performance of this work for us. I enjoyed it a lot, the complete ballet is somewhat more dramatic than the suite on the Chandos CD might suggest. So I am happy to see that it will come out on CD soon. Capriccio are really doing a fine job for rarity hunters at present, though a good number of those releases are probably beyond the remit of this forum.
In my experience there have generally been:... labels that premiere practically nothing interesting, - and others with more curiosity (and few of those, record exclusively European-style mid-19th-century un-dissonant Romantic music, even those like cpo which have arguably done nothalfbadly by that repertoire)

Crikey, how did I miss that one! Since it's ex-radio, maybe someone could re-upload it?
