Guillaume (William ) Ignace Gibsone Born London 8.10.1826 Died London 9.6.1897
He initially studied under Ignaz Moscheles. He was a pianist, composer and teacher. He appeared in Brussels as a pianist in 1845 and the following year was made an Hon. Member of the Brussels Societe de Grande Harmonie. For the next few years he appeared as a pianist, principally in Germany in such places as Baden, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Darmstadt and Wiesbaden. He accompanied the violinist Ernst in Berlin. From 1850 he resided permanently in London where he taught and composed.

The man's name is actually "Gibsone" NOT "Gisbone", which makes all the difference when searching for copies of his music!
