This is a re-release, surely? I've had the CD for years.

Checking my CD, I see the recording dates from 1999, released then on the Signum label (with the same cover).

I had assumed it was a re-release, but thought members here might be interested. Is the music any good?

I can't remember a thing about the Thalberg, but Moscheles' Trio is a favourite of mine. It's what you'd expect from him: civilised, restrained, well-crafted and good-natured. It's far from dull, but it doesn't set the pulse racing either - that's not Moscheles' way.

Here's a very positive assessment of the Thalberg from someone who probably ought to know:

They are both really lovely works, Alan. I think I prefer the Thalberg to the Moscheles - by a small margin. Like Mark, I have the old disk, and this reissue is most welcome.
