An alternative to the ageing Supraphon recordings, but I wonder why Naxos are starting this series, given that they already have a successful 2017 recording of three key orchestral works from Falletta and the BuffaloPO, which could have served as Volume 1..... instead there'll be more duplication on the way.
Which ageing Supraphon recording of the South Bohemina suite do you refer to? The one under Jaroslav Vogel or the one under Frantisek Vajnar?
Well, mine's the Vogel, but I was speaking generally in relation to the projected Naxos series.
