Back in 2015, I mentioned Adolphe Veuve, most of whose works appear to have been lost or have yet to be found, in this thread (http://www.unsungcomposers.com/forum/index.php/topic,5777.msg61178.html#msg61178). Now a piano sonata, two songs and a violin sonata have come out on a CD published by the Swiss Musikverlag Müller & Schade (http://mueller-schade.com/pages/Onlineshop_New/de/Veuve-Adolphe---1972-1947?source=2&refertype=1&referid=14&languageid=2). A German language review is available in The New Listener (http://www.the-new-listener.de/index.php/2021/02/21/musik-eines-fast-verschollenen-adolphe-veuve/).
A wonderful CD! But my opinion on the violinist's playing is definitely more positive!
Thanks! All the more reason for me to buy it then.
Now that I have bought the CD I can honestly say that I find it wonderful, too, and well played.
