I wish we had a modern recording of the Symphony itself by a topnotch orchestra.

Actually, that recording is in my Amazon shopping basket. But it is currently unavailable to ship to Spain and ,if available, would cost an arm and a leg. And I have found other recordings on the label "vivid and various".
