Thanks! I recall the quintet's been recorded with his violin sonata (which has also been recorded elsewhere) but as cpo's notes explain the string quartet is newly completely discovered and recorded.
I had imagined that Walter would be heavy going, but the soundbites are gorgeous, and suggest that the works are approachable and don't demand too much of the listener. Another for my long wants list.
