Title: Alejandro Nogales - Piano Concerto C# min (Youtube)
Post by: Richard Moss on Tuesday 25 April 2023, 11:43
Folks,

Just come across this work on YT - seems full-blooded 'romanticism' to my simple ear (disregarding the date!) but what do you think and does anyone have any more information that the bald title in the YT film??

Cheers

Sounds very much like Saint-Saens at the start, Richard!

Thank you so much for sharing this. I absolutely love it.
Yes, I also hear Saint-Saens No. 2 and Rachmaninoff No. 2 but just short greetings.
I hope there will be a studio recording to eliminate the few "wrong" notes.
The concerto is very ambitious and especially the 3rd movement is quite catchy.
A virtuoso tour de force. I am back for more...

Love it! A performance and recording with a fully professional orchestra would be fab.
