Died today. Best known for his recordings of standard repertoire (including some complete piano works sets with some less-known music, of course) and some slightly-to-much-less-known Hungarian composers (Bartók and Kodály of course but also Lajtha ("Chamber music with flute. Vol. 1"), Farkas, ...) (but also recorded Rossini's Soirées, Kuhlau sonatas and sonatinas, and played piano in a recording of trios by Felix Mendelssohn and Louise Farrenc, for example, and a few years ago Mingxin Du's piano concerto as well...
He made many fine recordings for Naxos.
Indeed. A very fine musician.
