I have known and treasured Alwyn's Lyra Angelica since the first Chandos recording, around 1990. In my top 10 concertos of all time, regardless of instrument.

Excellent news. I recently got the two naxos CD's with his tone poems, and they are brilliant! My discovery of the year.

I picked up his third symphony last October whilst on holiday in Porto and was pleasantly surprised. I later got the first, and have the second and fourth now on (pre-)order.
