Dear all,

is there anyone out there who has access to a French edition of the vocal scores of Gounod's oratorios 'Rédemption' and 'Mors et Vita'?
I am in the possession of the Novello editions but would love to read Gounod's prefaces in the original French.

Cheers,
Florian

Composers & Music / Re: Compositions in more than one key

Altough not labelled explicitely on the front page of the score, Elgar's first Symphony is in A flat major and d minor. There are hints that Elgar indeed wanted to write a Symphony in two keys ad once. Moreover, there is a part-song ('There is sweet music') which is in G and A flat major at the same time. Interestingly, the part-song dates from about the same time as the Symphony.

Composers & Music / Alexander Mackenzie

For the work on my PhD thesis I am desperately looking for a vocal score of Alexander Mackenzie's cantata 'The Bride' (Novello, Ewer & Co., about 46 pages).
I couldn't find a copy neither at amazon marketplaces nor in second-hand bookshops, and even the British Library wasn't able to provide me with a copy.  :(
Has anyone a vocal score and is able to send me a copy or a scan?

Thanks a lot!
