It would be great if the members of this forum who are based in Moscow could let us know where the CDs could be bought!

I have attended a performance at Pokrovsky Theatre a couple of months ago. The opera is superb! I asked around, but, unfortunately, nobody has a clue when the recording will be released. Sorry, no good news here.

I've posted up a few pieces by Alyaksei Turankou (1886-1958 - Alexei Turenkov in Russian).  I'm particularly pleased to have found his "Doina - Moldavian Melody" - I've heard it played so often by street musicians all over Russia/Belarus/Ukraine and Moldova and always wondered what it is.

Mistranslation of "stor" (or stør?) Small orchestra I think, or string?

Abbreviation 'кам.' = 'камерный', i.e. 'chamber' was misinterpreted by Google translate as an abbreviation of the adjective 'каменный' = 'stone'.
