Symphonies Nos. 10&11, Suite No. 3 and the Cello Concerto were also released on Opus One CDs. Symphony No. 12 bears the title "Harvester's Song" and has soprano, mezzo soprano and tenor solos.

Moreover, Symphony No. 7 was already composed in 1925/26. This seems to be strange but the liner notes of the Naxos online release of No. 7 explicitly insist that Levy composed his Symphony No. 7 before his Sixth.

Duly amended. Thank you, Holger :)

You are quite correct about Symphony No.7. I should believe what my eyes are telling me ::)

Regarding Symphony No.11, I am sure that you are correct but it is odd that the Levy website (run by his composer son Frank) makes no mention of the solo vocalists :o

Colin,

don't worry, at first I thought myself the date given for the Seventh had to be an error – but then I read the Naxos liner notes. As for the Twelfth, my source is this one:

I don't have this disc so far, so I cannot verify things – if Opus One were distributed via jpc I would probably have bought it for long but alas, that's not the case. Levy is a very interesting figure, I wish there were recordings of the complete cycle of his symphonies.
