Ivor Gurney violin sonata

MusicWeb reports sessions for the premiere recording of Ivor Gurney's violin sonata in E-flat. Know very little about (and nothing by, I believe) him just at this moment beyond a little of his sad tale offhand but hoping to hear more... (I do see Mr. Enders' note here of the premiere of his piano sonata, this June past.)

It will be good to hear something instrumental by him. I enjoyed the "War Elegy" on that wonderful Dutton CD of war music, though I understand that a lot of editing was required, as the manuscript was almost illegible.
