Dunhill Symphony and Cliffe's March in concert on 6 December

At All Saints Church, Lovelace Road, West Dulwich, London SE21 8LN on Saturday 6 December at 7.30pm the Lambeth Orchestra will perform Thomas Dunhill's Symphony in A minor Op.48, the first live performance since 16 April 1935 when it was played at Queen's Hall, London. As well as Elgar's violin concerto (Fenella Humphreys the soloist) the concert will start with Frederic Cliffe's Coronation March, written for the coronation of King George V at Westminster Abbey on 22 June 1910.

I still treasure the recording of the Dunhill. It's a lovely work especially the slow movement which is so beautiful.
