Puzzled by some of this discussion.  The violin concerto is indeed "lush, tuneful, and very much the sort of music we enjoy discussing on this forum" as Gareth points out.  As it was written in 1943 and constitutes the composer's last major completed work, I can't imagine why his "later music might not be quite so welcome here."  Apart from this torso of a 2nd piano concerto and other unfinished projects, there are no later Ponce works. ;)

I'd say the VC comes into the same category as, say, Walton's VC. So, pretty much on the margins of UC's remit, I'd have thought. Or probably just beyond...
