I was surprised not to see anything by that ardent suffragist Ethel Smythe, but maybe she'll get an airing in programmes later in the days, details of which don't seem to be available yet.

I'd heard of Mägi - may even have a work of hers in my collection, I think...- but hadn't made that obvious connection Ester --> Esther... hrm.
Haven't yet heard Filjak's Pejacevic, but have heard her in other repertoire from around the same time or so though not always the same style (Prokofiev 2nd piano sonata, for instance- her performance of which is available freely, along with a lot of other recordings, from the Isabella Gardner Museum of Boston's website); she seems rather good.

Response to ESchiss1
Pejacevic Piano Concerto by Martina Filjak on YouTube. Musicologists and some good musicians I've heard talking about this or spoke to myself confirmed my opinion on the conductor having completely quieted the brass section and some winds, double-bass and most cello 'melodies' or gestures ignored, and focused the recording equipment on the soloists and violins like if it was a sonatina for violin and piano. And the conductor's interpretation's trash linearly not only vertically by the way. Pejačević was at that time hard core Wagnerian, obsessed with German mythology, totally influenced by Scandinavian literature, culture and music! I hope Ari Rasilainen was cognizant of this, if he was the conductor for CPO edition.

Music33

There's a "good" performance of Dora Pejačević's "Piano Concerto" by Sigrid Trummer and the Nürnberger Symphoniker conducted by Manfred Müssauer.

Yes, but it's a BBC broadcast, so where you are doesn't count.... ;)

I think Ethel Smythe was composer of the week either last week or the week before which might explain why she wasn't included on through the night. The programmes might still be on the iPlayer?
Hope this helps!
