The Violin Sonata is already available on Toccata, but the Piano Quartet is a very welcome and exciting prospect. Oliver Triendl is such a great champion of UCs.

The Violin Sonata, in my opinion, tries too hard. It's fine music, but it almost comes across as a concerto in piano reduction form. But that may be just be me...

The Violin Sonata already being available on Toccata Classics Chamber Music Vol.1, I was hoping we might get the Piano Quartet on Vol.2 - but no sign of it yet. I'd rather not double up! Does anyone at UC know if a 2nd volume is likely? If not, this cpo might have to do!

I am struck by the thematic semblance in the first movement to Raff's (much earlier) third violin sonata.
