Few months ago after dowloading the Piano Concerto by Żeleński a number of members showed interest in having more of his music.
In fact I do not have too many recordings but have found few orchestral pieces that were not commercially issued and will upload them in nearest days.

Żeleński's biogram can be found - I believe - in the Grove's.
Tried to find something in the English Wikipedia but there is almost nothing about him.

In the Downloads/Polish Music the link to short fragments of his Opera "Konrad Wallenrod" of 1884 is available.

Opera is based on the famous Poem by Adam Mickiewicz, one of our greates Poets of the Romantic Era.

Yes, I like his PC, op. 60. The fine Polish label Acte Préalable has released some of his music, including songs. Actually, a new CD with music for violin and piano is about to be released, see here.

And another good news is the Piano Quintet by Różycki! That is going to be the first commercial recording.

It's already available. From the audio excerpts I get the idea that it's a delightful work, full of passion, especially in the outer movements. Listen to this to get an impression. Well, this is another disc on my constantly growing want list.
But his other works are fine as well. I find his Piano Sonata op. 20 a most impressive work.

OOO! Here it is not available in the shops. Must check however. The piece is good. I like it. Of corse it is the composition of almost 70 year composer and because of that it is not innovatiuve. But it sounds nice, piano part is well written. It's good it is released.
Years ago the piece was issued on  Olympia (OCD 381) coupled with pf quartet by Noskowski - the CD is for years unavailable. There was at least one radio archive recording with Andrzej Stefański on piano. I got it still on reel tape perhaps it is worth to transfer onto CDR.

Can I interest anyone in Zelenski's 1883 Cantata to Celebrate the Victory of Vienna in 1683.

I've got this on a double LP which also features cantatas on the same theme by Kamienski ( 1788); Pallasz ( 1936) & Twardowski ( 1933)

The piece was composed and premiered on the opening of the Warsaw Philharmonic on 05.11.1901.
Last 05.11.2011 there was held a celebrating concert in Philharmonic being a reconstruction of that origilal evening of 1901, including the piece by Żeleński, Piano concerto by Paderewski, Symphony by Stojowski, The Steppe by Noskowski and Moniuszko's Fairytale.

Yesterday I mistekenly uploaded Romance op. 40 for cello and orchestra instead of the Cantata itself.
As to the Romance I did not intend to upload it as I am not sure about the source and performers- it was found in Internet. According to my knowledge the piece has not been commercially published.

Has either his piano trio (op.22 in E-flat) or either of his string quartets (opp.28, 42) been recorded on CD or LP ? I believe I've heard the CD of the piano quartet.

Yes, his string quartets op. 28 and 42 have been recorded by Acte Prealable (AP0236). On the CD AP0237 along the Piano Quartet op. 61 we have also Variations on an original theme op. 21 for string quartet.

In the 90s Piano Qoartet was released by Olympia.
