Hello, I would like to get from you a few songs of Clasine Josephine van Brussel. I know composite member called "halbergmad" wrote that he / she performed her work in 2009:
"Much to my shame, I used to think Beryl Rubinstein was female. I guess this is partially forgivable.

I have recently played some rather charming variations by Clasine Josephine van Brussel who has not been MENTIONED yet. I fully expect someone will tell me she was a he "
It was a female composer., She's our grandmother six generations back.

There is not much information about her parents, but I know a lot of what happened after. She married Mark Erlanger and they emigrated to Russia where their children became very famous in the Tsar's history.
Please! Answer!

I have only ever seen one work of this lady and that was the Variations de Bravoure that I was playing through all those years ago.

You can order a pdf reasonably cheaply at the koninklijke bibliotheek which is where I originally got the score.

Regards

Thal

That is one good library, to judge from their catalogue; long may it thrive.
