a 2-CD set of 5 works for piano and strings composed mostly in the 1920s by Emmanuel Rhené-Baton has been issued by Brilliant Classics for release in the United States around mid-June this year. Contains his 2 violin sonatas (1920 in G minor, and by-1927 (no.2 in A in one movement), cello sonata in c (1922), piano trio (1923; which has been recorded elsewhere, on Atma Classics - coupled with Ropartz's piano trio - a recording that can be heard on the distributor Naxos' YouTube channel), and Suite ancienne (also for piano trio).  (So far as I've been able to judge from the works published prior to 1924, all tonal works arguably mostly acceptable to people here - give a listen to the piano trio.) Enjoy!
