This seems the proper place to praise the late Raymond Leppard- as an obit noted, best known for his early music performances but also broadcasted performances of works by 18th-20th (21st perhaps) composers, including some Arnold Bax for example (his Winter Legends I think. Also Bax 5 on Lyrita.) (Delius, a Rochberg symphony,...)

Also Stanford pf conc 2?

Yes, a baroque specialist but a versatile musician. I have recordings of him conducting Cesar Franck, Lennox Berkeley, and Elizabeth Maconchy, for example, and his own soundtrack for the film Alfred the Great. His orchestral recordings always seemed to me to be exactly the right tempo and balance (most obvious in the ballet) - I think he must have been a dedicated perfectionist!
It was a long life, and he leaves a wonderful musical legacy.

I have recordings by him of Nielsen (clarinet Concerto), Debussy (Iberia) and several works of Grieg.
However I saw him in the concert hall, in my city, conducting Handel'sd Ariodante and Purcell,s Dido and Aeneas.
