Opera Holland Park have announced that they will stage Jewels during their 2013 season.

This is one of my favourite operas since I saw it in Wexford in 1981.

I have just checked with my daughter - who works for Opera Holland Park - and she confirms that it is OK to report that Jewels will indeed be staged next year (2013). The announcement is made in their very comprehensive 2012 programme. (I had been holding back from announcing this news, forgetting that it had already been made public in the programme.)

Yes, I'd encountered references to that performance in New York in 2010 - wonder if a recording was made of it?

I believe not, sadly.  I know bootleg recordings exist of some of their performances (see http://www.operapassion.com/ - you'd have to search by composer name as I don't think the company is listed in the info), but not of this one.
