Clara Faisst

born 22 June 1872 in Karlsruhe, Germany
died 22 November 1948. Karlsruhe

Pianist, composer, poet, music teacher

She studied in Karlsruhe and then with Woldemar Bargiel and Max Bruch in Berlin

She wrote mainly songs, also instrumental music, and lived in Karlsruhe nearly all her life making her living as a teacher and by giving concerts.

Only two of her works have so far been recorded, the "Adagio consolante" B-Dur, opus 7,1 (1990) and the "Präludium in gotischem Stil", opus 28.
