Just listened to the recording of this work by the "Quatuor Denis Clavier". The proportions of parts seemed weird- after the first movement repeat there was 4 minutes left of the 11-minute movement for everything else (actually, the first violin part suggests I misinterpreted or-something; it's not as weirdly compressed as it sounds. Or their recording is cut.) But- one way or another, this is an impressive, memorable piece with a strong, melancholy finale; I intend to listen again.

Yes, I really like the work too, although the timing is a little odd. It's his Op.68, right Eric?

Timing is consistent with recording by Quatuor Parisii for Bru Zane: 1st movement 7:20 without repeats. The exposition is 100 bars long and development + recap 130 bars (Plus or minus one...)
